MONTEBELLO BUS LINES
Montebello Bus Lines is committed to providing safe, convenient, and affordable public transportation to residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure your safety, Montebello Bus Lines has implemented the following changes:
- Buses are operating on a regular schedule (http://www.ridembl.com/Maps-Schedules) so that you can make your essential trips safely. Please enter through the front door, exit through the rear, and remember that fare-collection has resumed.
- All passengers and bus operators are required to wear a face mask at all times while riding the bus. Complimentary face masks are provided in the front of the bus for those who need one.
- Bus capacity is capped to prevent overcrowding. If a bus is too crowded, the bus operator may ask you to wait for the next bus. We thank you for your understanding and patience.
- Clear plastic shields have been installed between the bus operator and passengers entering through the front door.
- Air filters work in conjunction with the existing air-conditioning system to create a powerful vacuum that forces old onboard air out and replaces it with fresh-filtered air 50 times per hour.
- Montebello Bus Lines has implemented extra stringent and robust cleaning and disinfecting regimens. Since the onset of the pandemic, MBL has begun “fogging” buses. Fogging is an anti-viral/anti-bacterial vapor misting system that disinfects large spaces, leaving a longer, residual clean. Buses are fogged every 30 days with an “Ultra Blitz” cleaning solution.
- In addition to monthly fogging, all high-touch areas are cleaned with a hospital-grade disinfectant every day.
- Hand-sanitizer dispensers have been installed throughout our bus depot to keep staff healthy.
